General FAQ

1. How do I purchase items?
Browse the catalog, add items to your cart, and proceed to checkout. Please note that we only sell our own inventory and do not allow external sellers on our platform for security reasons.
2. How are items delivered?
We use the RSI "gifting" system for delivering items. You’ll receive an email with a link to claim your item. You can use any active email address. It doesn't need to match your RSI account email. It is only important that you log in to the correct account on the RSI website to receive a gift to your account. If you encounter delays or issues, please check your spam folder or contact our support team.
3. What if my RSI email is different from the one used for the purchase?
It doesn't matter. The link provided will allow you to log into the RSI account where you want the item to be delivered.
4. I'm brand new to Star Citizen, if I buy a ship from you now can I get started right away?
To be able to play SC, you will need a game package which includes Star Citizen (pledge will have to say "Star Citizen Digital Download"). You can either buy a game pack directly on the RSI page or view the available game packages on our website in the "Game Packages" section
5. I received a different ship in-game than the one I purchased. Why?
Star Citizen is in the alpha phase, and not all ships are available. If your purchased ship is not ready, you’ll receive a "loaner ship" to use until your ship becomes available.
6. Can I return or exchange items?
Returns and exchanges are generally not available for digital goods. However, if you encounter any issues, please contact us for assistance.
7. How can I manage my account?
Log into your account to update details, view order history, or reset your password. Ensure that you are logged into the correct RSI account before accepting gifted items.
8. What if I upgrade my ship?
Upgrades typically retain the insurance of the base ship. If your ship has Lifetime Insurance (LTI) and you apply an upgrade, the upgraded ship will also have LTI.
9. Are all ships available in the game right away?
Not all ships are immediately flyable. Some are still in development, and you'll receive a loaner ship in the meantime.
10. What is the difference between Concept and CCU’ed ships?
Concept ships are rarer and typically come with extra hangar flairs, whereas CCU’ed ships are created using upgrades and may have a lower "melt" value if you exchange them for RSI credits.
11. Can I buy an upgrade if I don't have the required ship yet?
Yes, you can buy and keep an upgrade in your hangar without applying it immediately.
12. Is it possible to give a ship/item as a gift?
Yes, simply forward the gifting email/link to the recipient. Make sure they log into their RSI account before accepting the gift.
13. How many times can I give a ship/item as a gift?
You can give a pledge only once. After receiving a gift the "GIFT" button disappears. Therefore, you cannot receive a gift and then send it to another account.
14. How often can I upgrade a ship?
You can upgrade a ship as often as you like, as long as you are moving to a more expensive ship. Downgrades are not allowed.
15. What should I do if I don't see my purchased item in my hangar?
Check the hangar sorting order. All pledges in your hangar are sorted by date
16. Is it safe to buy ships/items from your store?
Yes, it is safe. We only sell items that we have purchased through the official RSI store.
17. Do you offer any loyalty or referral programs?
Yes, we offer programs where you can earn rewards for purchases and referrals. Check our dedicated pages for more details.
18. Do you match prices with other sellers?
Our prices are generally fixed. We strive to offer competitive pricing while maintaining a high level of service and security.
19. I received an error message when I clicked the gifting link. What should I do?
Check your hangar to see if the item is there despite the error. If not, contact us for assistance.
20. Why do I have not only LTI but also additional insurance?
Lifetime insurance has the highest priority. But some of the modernizations that were used in the assembly of the ship may have additional benefits, such as insurance
21. I have a pledge that contains several ships, how does it work when using an upgrade?
Each ship in this pledge can be upgraded separately. So only ONE ship in the pledge will be upgraded. All other items/ships in the pledge will remain unchanged.
22. Is there an upgrade for every ship?
No, for some "limited" ships there are no upgrades that can be used to upgrade to them. These include the Scythe, Pioneer, Raven, and all Capital ships.
23. I would like to buy an Idris-P/Kraken/Javelin but I can’t find anyone that is selling just those ships.
Almost all Capital ships, including the ones listed, are worth over $1000. This means that they can’t be gifted under any circumstances because of the daily gifting limit of an RSI account of $1000. CIG support cannot help in any case as the limit exists due to strict American money laundering laws. If you want a capital ship that’s worth over $1000, you will have to buy an entire Star Citizen account. Please note that every ship will have a gift button, even if it's over $1000, but transfer still will not work.
24. In the "gifting email" it says it is a different ship than the one I bought, what’s going on?
After changing the ship in the middle of the pledge, the name of the pledge itself does not change. For CCU ships the "gifting email" will only show the basic ship inside and not the "upgraded" one - only when you click on the link and see the ship in your hangar can you see that you have received the correct ship.
25. My ship should have a ground vehicle included but I cannot find any reference to it in my hangar?
Some ships (Aquila, Carrack, Andromeda) are equipped with an additional ground vehicle or a "snub fighter" as standard. These belong to the ship and are not listed separately. These items are also insured with the ship. So if the ship has LTI, then the associated snubs or vehicles also have this. Please note that some ground vehicles or "snub fighters" cannot be used in game yet even though the main ship is in the game.
26. I bought a ground vehicle (Rover, Cyclone, Dragonfly, etc) but I cannot "spawn" it!
Ground vehicles cannot be spawned everywhere, you have to go to special terminals on planet/moon surfaces.
27. Why is the ship cheaper than on the official website?
Sometimes on the RSI website, there is an opportunity to buy an upgrade that gives you a small discount - from $5 to $30. CCU'ed ships have a lower cost because they use discounted upgrades when assembling such ships.

This results in a lower "melting" value (the amount of RSI credits you will receive if you trade in the item) compared to the current retail price.

However, don't worry, this does not affect the upgrade cost of the item at all. The upgrade cost remains equal to the full retail price of the item in the RSI store. This means that you can proceed with the upgrade as if it was for the full retail price.
